Myths & Philosophy for the Emerging World
What I do.
I am a trained philosopher and PhD archetypal mythologist. I also have a strong background in activism including community and union organizing. I am also a trained ritualist, a practicing (and teaching) animist, and a practitioner of ancestral work.
I am internationally recognized as one of the leading scholars of Mesoamerican ritual and myth. My work is regularly featured on the Science Channel and National Geographic Channel. In 2023, I left the university classroom and began to dedicate my energy to helping leaders, visionaries, and teachers reclaim the core myths of critical social and personal change.
“If we are going to build the world we talk about, we long for, that we all deserve, then we are going to have to learn to step out of the broken way of thinking that has gotten us here and step into a new narrative. If you are ready to take a radical step forward and shed the limitations of our shared way of thinking, then you are going to need to find your way into a new, more inclusive, vibrant, and wild narrative.”
