You will never be the same as you were before. But will your story be rooted in self-knowing and power? Or stuck in struggle mode?

Our modern motherhood stories have let us down.

Mothers have confessed to me time and time again: “I don’t feel myself anymore,” “I don’t know who I am since having kids,” “I don’t feel as vibrant as I used to.” We start to feel like part of being mothers is just losing ourselves. This is a patriarchal lie and we as mothers can - and must - reconnect with the fierce, beautiful, unstoppable power of motherhood.

I draw from over ten years of research and experience as an educator to teach archetypal stories and simple rituals that help us get reintroduced to ancient art of motherhood. These stories and practices give us a vessel for mourning the person we were before motherhood and getting to know (and get comfortable with) the person we are as mothers. These teachings and practices are powerful tools that help us to understand and integrate the high and lows of motherhood, bringing radical new understanding to our own sense of isolation, depression, resentment, rage, grief, and anxiety.

Using a mythologically-informed approach gives us an opportunity to reconnect with our emotional selves - and then reflect them back to each other. The result is understanding ourselves, feeling seen, and finding the incredible power that is inherent in the great role of mother.

Fall Classes Starting - Focus on Grounding and Mental Health

Next classes begin in person in Raleigh and Durham the week of November 29! This is a special season where I put extra emphasis on psychology-based practices and meditations that help us find strength in the darkness - both in the world and in ourselves. • Learn how ancient goddesses act as icons to help us expand our own mother identity

  • Tap into the timeless and critical wisdom that motherhood as a role that is essential to cultural renewal (sharing with you my most popular academic work on mother wisdom as the key to a needed values revolution)

Mythology and Motherhood??

Below are recent clips of Rosalie presenting work at the International Association of Maternal Action and Scholarship on “terrifying” mother goddesses as guides for mothers to reclaim their own powerful stories.
